Chalet De' Roubaix

Chalet De' Roubaix brings the character of European country estates to a contemporary residence in Alpine, Utah. Rather than reproducing a historic house, the design uses familiar château proportions, steep roof forms, layered stone, and carefully composed openings to create a home that feels established within its mountain setting.

The architecture and interiors were developed together for the 2024 Utah Valley Parade of Homes. Generous ceiling heights and connected gathering rooms support modern family life, while limestone, walnut, detailed ironwork, and a warm neutral palette give each space depth and permanence. Traditional references are balanced with clear circulation, natural light, and the practical needs of a new residence.

Throughout the home, transitions were treated as part of the experience. Framed views, arched passages, millwork, lighting, and material changes help distinguish formal rooms from relaxed daily spaces without breaking the overall composition. The result is a residential project rooted in European influence and shaped for contemporary life in Alpine.
