Alpine Horizon

Set along an Alpine ridgeline, Alpine Horizon was designed around sweeping views and the exposed character of its site. A low-slung silhouette follows the terrain, while weathered steel and native stone relate the architecture to the colors and textures of the surrounding mountains.

Interior spaces are oriented toward distinct parts of the horizon. Retractable glass walls open the main living pavilion to the alpine air, and more protected rooms use carefully placed openings to balance outlook, privacy, and comfort. Charred timber, honed basalt, and warm metal accents ground the clean geometry of the home.

The planning responds to both everyday family use and the demands of a ridge location. Circulation remains clear, outdoor areas are sheltered, and repeated materials connect exterior forms with interior rooms. Featured in the 2022 Utah Valley Parade of Homes, the completed residence presents mountain living through a restrained contemporary lens.
